The first function of language is communication,so we need to use form of phonetics for expressing our attitude and emotion in the process of communication.The study of phonetics is the basis of the whole processes language study.If we are bad for studying pronunciation and tone,we will be difficult with understanding and communicating.Therefore,it is vital for us to teach and learn in the primary Chinese phonetics teaching.Chinese phonetics is the foundation of the Chinese teaching as a foreign language.We should know the students' difficulties so as to find correct teaching skills and ways that students grasp the rules of Chinese phonetics and study Chinese well.According to one year primary Chinese teaching in Chamnansamakkhiwittaya school of RaYong province of eastern Thailand,taking the high school students as the objects of the research,observing the students' behaviors in the primary Chinese phonetics class,including the dialogue practice,oral tests,class behaviors,and the communication of daily-life,adopting the observation,case study and surveying to make contrastive analysis and error analysis so as to find some errors in consonant,vowel,tone and syllable.In order to research the errors form and errors reasons,we can discover some ways to solve the primary Chinese phonetics errors.The thesis takes theory of phonetic system of modern Chinese,theory of phonetic system of standard Thai language and theory of the foreign language teaching and learning as the foundation of studying the Chamnansamakkhiwittaya school students' Chinese phonetics' errors so that we can find some effective foreign language teaching and learning strategies and skills.In accordance with the phonetics,the thesis will contrast analysis with the difference with consonant,vowel,tone and syllable between the two phonetic system of Chinese and Thai language so as to find the differenciation which provides with phonetic theory to support for errors analysis.In accordance with the foreign language teaching and learning,the thesis will adopt the second language acquisition theory,contrastive analysis and inter-language analysis to discussing and analyzing systematically the primary Chinese class' errors.In accordance with the theory of the Teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,analyzing the reasons why students make phonetic errors are that students can be concerned with the mother tongue,borrowed language,culture and student' body and mental factors.Finally,the author will propose some available teachingstrategies and teaching exercises for the student's errors so that the students can solve the phonetics errors and improve their Chinese phonetic ability.
