classical Chinese has a long history,as the centuries-old and excellent inheritance of Chinese culture,have been used to record numerous volumes of literature.It being the essence of Chinese traditional culture and we can inherit national fine tradition and apprehend the national spirit from it.However,with the passage of time,there appears great differences between classical Chinese and modern Chinese in terms of vocabularies and grammatical structures.Besides,due to a lack of time background,there exists a phenomenon in classical Chinese teaching-it's difficult for teachers to teach and for students to learn.According to the survey,due to poorreading comprehension and understanding,students are commonly afraid to study classical Chinese.The writer suggests that it's of great significance to analyze the deficiencies in teaching and reading classical Chinese for senior high school students.Meanwhile,in response to the situation,the writer comes up with strategies to enhance students' comprehension toward it.The essay is based on analyzing the reasons attributed to students' poor performance in classical Chinese,and further discussing the elements and structures affecting reading comprehension.This paper is divided into five parts: The first part of classical Chinese reading comprehension ability and its components;The second part is the analysis of the classical Chinese teaching materials and the examination questions of the classical Chinese reading in the senior high school;The third part analyzes the current situation of senior high school students' Reading Comprehension;The fourth part is the analysis of the problems of the senior high school students' reading comprehension ability;The fifth part is about the strategies of cultivating the reading comprehension ability of senior middle school students.By analyzing the senior high school Chinese textbooks,combining the classical Chinese characteristic with students' cognitive rules,the writer proceeds to put forward targeted strategies to develop students' reading ability.First,teachers should have a sharp understanding of its importance to help students strengthen their awareness of reading and further arouse their interest;second,teachers are expectedto lay emphasis on accumulation to consolidate the basis of classical Chinese learning.Meanwhile,they are bound to help students build up language sense by means of continual reading and reciting.Third,teachers are supposed to develop students' guess read ability so as to improve their learning efficiency.In addition,combing with the character of the time,we can make extensive use of modern educational technologies to enhance the effectiveness of learning classical Chinese.Only students' reading ability for classical Chinese is improved can they understand it and be interested in it.Thus,both teaching and reading efficiency can also be improved accordingly.
