Comprehension is an important element of human reasoning,and its level of development determines,to a certain extent,the speed of human progress.For Alfred North Whitehead,the famous British educator and philosopher,comprehension can be divided into logical comprehension and aesthetic comprehension according to their focus.Among them,on the whole and the details to the attention of a sequence,aesthetic comprehension tend to the former prior to the latter,it reflects the has the characteristics of integrity,at the same time,and because of its aesthetic attributes,have aesthetic comprehension and presented the affective characteristics,in other words,aesthetic comprehension ability development level is higher,more easily achieve empathy in every field.If the whole society has shortcomings in the development of aesthetic comprehension,some problems such as utilitarianism and human indifference are likely to be out of control.Constantly promote the "art" of morality,intelligence and physique full scale development,new fusion education system today,the value of aesthetic education has been further emphasized that in order to cultivate students " education integration development ",it is necessary to focus on aesthetic education,keep enough attention to the development of aesthetic comprehension ability.The development of students and teachers are closely related,so the development of teachers’ aesthetic comprehension ability must also be paid attention to.However,a review of the documents have been issued on teacher training reveals that they say little about the development of aesthetic comprehension in junior mathematics teachers,and coupled with the neglect of teachers in teacher training colleges and teachers themselves,has gradually become a shortcoming for junior secondary mathematics teachers.In the face of such a situation,based on the thinking of Whitehead’s comprehension theory,this study hopes to provide enlightenment to the cultivation of aesthetic understanding ability of junior middle school mathematics teachers in China,and further realize the goal of "five-education integrated development".This paper is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction,which includes the reason for choosing the topic,a review of the research,definition of relevant concepts,purpose and significance of the research,research ideas and methods,and innovations.The second part of this study,the second chapter,is devoted to exploring the significance of Whitehead’s theory of comprehension itself while analysis and sorting out the main elements of the theory,including what makes comprehension possible,the characteristics of comprehension,the incompatibility and process of comprehension,the way in which comprehension is advanced,and the two types of comprehension.The third part of this study examines the importance of developing aesthetic comprehension for junior school mathematics teachers from three perspectives: the construction of a "new system of integrated education",the development of aesthetic education in schools,and the training of pre-service mathematics teachers.The fourth part of this study examines the main problems in the development of aesthetic understanding among "junior secondary school mathematics teachers".The main problems are: the gap between what should be done and what is done in terms of the development of junior secondary school mathematics teachers,the lack of training for junior secondary school mathematics teachers in higher education institutions,and the lack of training for junior secondary school mathematics teachers in the field of mathematics."The main problems are: the gap between what should be and what is,the lack of attention to aesthetic understanding in the training of junior secondary mathematics teachers in higher education institutions,and the lack of attention to the development of aesthetic understanding in junior secondary mathematics teachers.The fifth part of this study is based on Whitehead’s theory of comprehension and the main problems that exist at present,and aims at optimising the development of aesthetic comprehension of junior secondary school mathematics teachers in China from three aspects: the implementation of existing public documents,the training of higher teacher training institutions,and the development of teachers themselves.
