In English,Students are always required to master the language knowledge and language skills,but now they are also be required to foster interest in learning English to improve their English achievement in the new curriculum reform.But so far,most domestic English learning motivation studies take college students,vocational school students as their objects.Psychological measurement is adopted into this study to focus on the characteristics of rural middle school students' English learning investigation.At last,according to author's teaching experience and analyzing of the results,this article raises corresponding solutions and some suggestions.The questionnaire of this study is designed due to Minority English Learning Motivation Questionnaire and Junior High School Students' English Learning Motivation Impairment Questionnaire.The Participants are junior high school students in Hongge Middle School,Yanbian County,Panzhihua City,Sichuan Province.Combined the analyzing of the survey results with related theory discussion,the conclusions are as following:1.The motivation of Grade Three students in Hongge Middle School is mainly influenced by the following aspects: internal motivation,external motivation,integration motivation,parental encouragement and social responsibility.2.Among these aspects,the internal motivation affects students' English learning achievement most.3.The factors which cause students' English leaning motivation decline are mainly related to teachers' factors,social environment factors,learner factors and learning environment factors.According to the results and conclusions of this study,this paper further raises some suggestions on how to improve rural junior high school students' English learning motivation,so as to improve the rural junior high school students' English learning achievement and change the current situation of rural students' weak status in English.Furthermore,this study can also provide some help for the English teaching reform in rural junior high school.
