In order to serve the virtual simulation teaching of undergraduate foundation engineering course,this article designs and develops a 3D teaching simulation system for intelligent building foundation type selection with the use of object-oriented technology,which can help undergraduates implement foundation type selection and foundation design.The system has the function of intelligent building foundation selection,foundation design training,3D simulation display,generate design report.Students analyze the cases through the operation of software,improving their own knowledge use ability and practical ability.The realization of teaching simulation system integrates expert system,decision support system and 3D simulation technology.This article integrates the above technology into WPF user interface framework based on deep study of relevant theory to achieve the development of teaching simulation system.The main work and conclusions are as follows:(1)The organization of the system is rationally designed,and the decision making is carried out by combining the qualitative analysis of the expert system and the qualitative analysis of the decision support system.(2)The author sums up and codes the related information which influences foundation type selection and foundation depth determination into system knowledge base,and use the expert system development tool CLIPS to achieve intelligent foundation type selection and buried depth determination.(3)The groundwork and foundation design model library is constructed using object-oriented language C#.Independent foundation design,strip foundation design and pile foundation design are coded referring to the relevant specification.(4)With the help of 3D Studio Max and Expression Blend,the author uses the unified graphical technology in WPF to achieve three-dimensional visualization of building foundation design.(5)A pile foundation optimization design program is developed based on knowledge reasoning and second order oscillating particle swarm algorithm.The program is embedded into the teaching simulation system,and the optimization of pile foundation design is achieved taking into account the calculation accuracy and computational efficiency.The rationality of the optimization algorithm is verified by a case study.3D teaching simulation system for intelligent building foundation type selection can help solve the problem of theory and practice which is prevalent in colleges and universities,and provide reliable technical support for the construction of virtual simulation teaching platform of civil engineering in Dalian University of Technology.
