Owing to Ziyun's historical conditions,geographical limitations,economic constraints,cultural and educational backgrounds,junior-high-school students here find it difficult to learn English.They need more concern and help in their English learning process.This study took students in Ziyun No.2 Middle School as subjects to explore the causes for the students' English learning difficulties and to make the constructive measures of improving their learning effects.The research methods mainly include questionnaire,interview,observation and case analysis.The results found that the learning environment,the degree of efforts,the psychological quality,the learning strategies and the teachers' qualities are the mainly reasons for English learning difficulties of the students there.And the research finally found there are five suggested countermeasures:(1)To inspire and motivate the English-learning-difficulty students to arise their self determination and endurance of their effort;(2)To guide and help the English-learning-difficulty students with their strategies' in improving their English learning techniques;(3)To encourage the English-learning-difficulty students to acquire extracurricular knowledge and make full use of various of resources,a good English learning environment should be created under the help of the families and the society;(4)To attain the best development for the English-learning-difficulty students,the teachers should improve their teaching philosophy and skills;(5)To make the English-learning-difficulty students set up a correct attribution to timely training.Finally,the limited of this research is pointed out.
