Research On Community Service Of The Elderly People Living Alone In Taiyuan

The group of elderly People living alone is a special group which resulting from the implement of family planning policy and the increasing narrowed family structure.With the acceleration of population aging in China,the number of the elderly People living alone is growing.During this process,the elderly People living alone are creating many requirements not only in the physical and psychological aspects but also other aspects,and they also confront many problems and difficulties,the elderly People living alone lived in Taiyuan are facing with the same situation,too.As a main body of providing services for the elderly People living alone,the community should shoulder the responsibility of a service provider;however,the Community Service Mode for the elderly People living alone in Taiyuan is still underdeveloped.Therefore,the study of the community service for the elderly People living alone lived in Taiyuan and the promotion of the establishment of a developed community service system are bounded duties to solve the problems of elderly People living alone,satisfied their requirements and guarantee them have a rest at old age.This thesis will take 78 elderly People living alone lived in Taiyuan W Community as the study subject,and adopt questionnaire survey,interview method,field research and other methods to collect data,by analyzing the research data and interview material,we figured out their needs in the economic,social,spiritual,medical and other aspects;and we evaluated its community service effect by combining its current service situation and contents in W Community.According to the research and evaluation results,we can learn that the main problems existed in the living-alone elderly People's service in W Community are the requirements for each of the elderly People living alone were different,the lack of financial support,the lack of professional service knowledge and personnel,the administrative tasks are arduous for the community contributors and the lack of the service resources;In this case,five aspects of solutions are proposed: the increase of service content,the improvement of service skill,the reducing of administrative pressure and theestablishment of management system.These resolutions put forward new ideas to solve the problems existed in the service for the elderly People living alone in W Community,and they also provide effective suggestions to the improvement and development of the Community Service Mode for the elderly People living alone in Taiyuan.
