A Study On The Case Work Of Inter-generational Education For Single-parent Families

With the deepening of the reform and opening up and the transformation of the market economy system,the traditional social values of our country have changed.Meanwhile,the original social structure has also been in a fission,which has caused many social phenomena and social problems.Among them,more and more single parent families have emerged due to the rise of divorce rate and unmarried pregnancy,which makes the problem of single parent families’ education get more and more concerned.Single parents are forced with the pressure of livelihoods,remarriage and other reasons.They often send their children to the grandparents for upbringing,and children’s educational problems in the single parent families also arise.The lack of a father or mother’s love has made the children’s hearts traumatic.Moreover,the single parent entrusted their children to the grandparents for bringing up,which made them troubled in the plight of abandonment again.At the same time,grandparents in the inter-generational family are likely to spoil the children,which will make the children unsociable,indifferent,self-contemptuous and learning disabled in the process of growing.Besides,it will also bring negative influence to the family and society.Based on the existing research results,through interviewing method,observation method and case analysis method,this paper will study the inter-generational children’s education in the single parent families.First of all,by interviews and observation,the paper described various complex problems happened on the children in the single parent families from four aspects of emotion,psychology,learning and behavior.Secondly,based on the Advantage Perspective Theory,People in Situation Theory and Maslow’s Demand Theory,we carry out personalized service for a child and her single parent family to solve the psychological,behavioral and learning problems etc.In the process of implementation,we put forward our suggestions to solve the problems in the children’s education of the single parent family group from the three aspects of family,school and society.Only the family education,school education and social education coordinate each other,promote each other,can we improve the quality of education for children of single parent families fundamentally,help the children of single parent families get out of shadow that the broken family brings and create a warm and harmonious living environment for them.Through studying the case,we hope to probe into a way to solve the children’s psychological and behavioral problems occurred in the single parent families under the background of new stage,and make our contribution to the harmonious and stable society and family.
