Research On Current Operation Status Of Commercial Combat Events In China

In recent years,commercial combat events have started from scratch,and we have experienced increasing brands and amounts,improving event scales and levels and growing social influence by events.However,there is still a big gap between the development of commercial combat events and the development of other commercial sport event items in China,and in several growth aspects of commercial combat events compared to foreign countries,there is a big room for the commercial events in China to improve in the future.In addition,current introduction of policies in national sport industry strongly promotes commercial combat events in China,and there are problems demanding prompt solutions in many aspects for operation of commercial combat events in China.At the same time,MMA-mixed martial arts is the most promising item enjoying the fastest growth among current main-stream combat items.Taking operation of commercial MMA-mixed martial arts events as the breakthrough point allows better reflecting current operation status of commercial combat events in China.The thesis takes operation of MMA-mixed martial arts events in China as the research object.Current operation status of commercial MMA-mixed martial arts events in China is analyzed by applying research methods including literature material method,mathematical statistics method,video observation method,questionnaire method and expert interview method to make the following conclusions:(1)There are five main elements of the MMA-mixed martial arts event market in China,including MMA-mixed martial arts event itself,MMA-mixed martial arts event consumers,MMA-mixed martial arts event producer,MMA-mixed martial arts event quality and MMA-mixed martial arts event media attention,and mutual promotions exist among various elements and eventually make promotion circulation.(2)Main fund sources for major producers of MMA-mixed martial arts events cover methods including advertisement sponsorship,angel investment(venture investment),stock market financing by listed companies,royalty revenue,and ticket income.Due to different natures and operation methods of organizers,different MMA-mixed martial arts events have various fund source methods and diverse fund source proportions.(3)For commercial MMA-mixed martial arts events to move toward the market,event consumers are their core elements.Cultivating loyal and faithful event consumer groups is the primary task for growth of commercial MMA-mixed martial arts events.(4)Event quality in operation of MMA-mixed martial arts events is the determinant for healthy,stable and long-term survival and growth of the events,and there are five main elements influencing event quality,including MMA-mixed martial arts player's competence,MMA-mixed martial arts coach's teaching level,MMA-mixed martial arts judge's practice level,guiding function of MMA-mixed martial arts competition regulations for MMA-mixed martial arts techniques and production level of MMA-mixed martial arts events.(5)Event media attention for operation of MMA-mixed martial arts events in China is an important condition to drive event promotion and achieve further event growth,and there are four main elements related to event media attention,including TV media,network media,print media and mobile media.(6)There are five main issues existing in operation of MMA-mixed martial arts events in China.The first is that foreign MMA-mixed martial arts events enter Chinese market,causing impact to operation of MMA-mixed martial arts events in China.The second is that many organizers of MMA-mixed martial arts events in China are in operation fund shortage,and event organization operation is still in the state of maintenance.The third is that operation of MMA-mixed martial arts events is in lack of reserve force,and temporary shortage is prominent.The fourth is that operation of MMA-mixed martial arts events has unoptimistic judging situation.The fifth is that operation of MMA-mixed martial arts events still needs enhancement of event supervision.
