With the continuous reform of basic teaching,the reform of physical education curriculum also followes and continues development.The “National Higher Education Curriculum Guide” puts forward the guiding ideology that“people-oriented,health first”focusing on highlighting the student's main position and the overall improvement of the basic physical quality of the students.In the sports elective course,students should be the main body,to mobilize the enthusiasm of students to exercise,master the skills of sports and to meet the interests of students.Today,the sports elective course as a general university(undergraduate and vocational colleges)generally carried out a teaching model to adapt to the physical and mental characteristics of college students,won the students love,but this teaching model is not completely unified,There are also differences in teaching content.But this teaching model is not completely unified,there are differences in teaching content.At the same time,two types of institutions are faced with teaching ideas,school system,personnel training and so on.The different aspects of the opening of sports elective courses are different.Based on this situation,the two types of institutions of sports elective courses for deeper research,analysing of the similarities and differences between the two institutions,to find suitable for vocational sports development mode,to further promote the development of vocational sports and Reform,and the athletic ability of students to improve,hobbies and physical fitness to play a positive role.This paper makes a comprehensive and systematic analysis of the current situation of sports elective courses in two colleges and universities by using the methods of literature,interview,questionnaires,mathematical statistics,logic and theoretical analysis,comparative analysis and other research methods.And the teaching methods and methods,the theoretical content of the teaching materials,the evaluation of the results,the teachers' strength and the equipment of the venues,and so on.As following:1.In both schools,the difference in attitude between students' attitudes towards sports is clear.Especially in higher vocational colleges,students are less likely to love sports options than the average undergraduate.2.In the sports elective courses,Guangzhou sports colleges and universities set up relative to the general undergraduate institutions are more single,mostly basing ontraditional projects,relatively one-sided,the creation of new less fashionable projects.And the school theory courses set up less or some institutions did not set up,resulting in the lack of theoretical knowledge as a support student.Teaching materials used in colleges and universities to compile the main teaching materials,the lack of school-based teaching materials,and the existing utilization of sports teaching materials is not high.3.Two types of institutions of physical education teaching organization form is too monotonous.Teaching methods is too single and relatively traditional.4.The performance assessment methods of wo types of institutions of sports elective courses are still mainly sports skills,too much focus on the results while ignoring the process.In vocational colleges,the sports option class is low which can not meet the needs of students in the future career and can not form a lifelong sports ideas.5.In the vocational colleges,the proportion of young PE teachers occupies a large proportion,the proportion of gender imbalance,lower academic qualifications,the title structure is not reasonable,learning ability is relatively weak,teachers special expertise is more single,teachers to participate in continuing education,training rarely.The importance of school leaders in vocational colleges is not enough,which affects the development of sports elective courses.6.In the ordinary undergraduate colleges,sports venues,equipment and facilities are more adequate to meet the needs of students.And in vocational colleges,sports venues,equipment and facilities are quite lacking,seriously affecting the normal physical education and the students extracurricular exercise,which restricting the development and maintenance of students interested,leading to reduced enthusiasm for student exercise.This paper aims to make a comparative study of ordinary undergraduate and vocational colleges to find out the differences between the two institutions,and provide reference for the teaching reform of PE elective courses in higher vocational colleges in Guangzhou.
