The object of this article is about Cooperative Learning Approach used on cheerleading education in Higher Vocational College.We chose 60 students from cheerleading elective class of year 2016 in Guangdong Polytechnic of Industry and Commerce as experimental subjects.They were separated into control group and experiment group randomly and each group contained 30 students(6 males and 24 females for each group).Students in control group and experiment group received traditional teaching and Cooperative Learning respectively for 12 weeks,which took32 hours in total.In our article,the teaching experiment and questionnaire methods are used to compare the difference of physical quality,basic situation,cooperation ability,group cohesion,cheerleading performance and other aspects between two groups.And using statistical analysis to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the usage of Cooperative Learning Approach on cheerleading education in higher vocational college.Furthermore,we also took the significant difference and influence on cheerleading skills,cooperation ability and team cohesion of students between two approaches into consideration.According to the analysis of experimental data,the conclusion can be summarized as below:There would be more significant improvement on students' cheerleading skills when the cooperative learning teaching method was used.There was more prominent effect on improving students' cooperation ability using Cooperative Learning Approach during the cheerleading teaching of higher vocational school.It was more efficiency to improve students' group cohesion by combining the Cooperative Learning Approach with cheerleading.There were more advantageous to improve the teaching effect on cheerleading elective class using Cooperative Learning Approach in the Guangdong Polytechnic of Industry and Commerce.
