Employment-oriented Secondary vocational computer students need to focus on the cultivation of their cooperation skills if they want to win more opportunities in their future work.Database is an important branch of computer science and is a compulsory course for computer-related majors in secondary vocational schools. In the database course, many secondary schools use the traditional "duck and fill" mode to carry on teaching, which makes the construction of students’ cooperative ability slow.Group cooperative learning is a new learning method. However,in the actual teaching process of cooperative group work in databases, the development of students’ cooperative skills has not achieved good results. This study takes the database course as an example to investigate the problems affecting the development of students’ cooperative skills in group cooperative learning, and proposes strategies for developing students’ cooperative skills through group cooperative learning in secondary computer science,so as to provide some reference for secondary computer science teachers to apply group cooperative learning. This study investigates and analyses the current situation of the application of group cooperative learning and the current situation of cooperative ability of a secondary vocational computer science student in Guiyang City, carries out teaching practice of group cooperative learning in response to the current situation, and counts the practice data. The effect of the teaching practice is studied through data analysis, and strategies for cultivating students’ cooperative ability are proposed. This study is conducted as follows: Chapter 1 reviews the literature and describes the background and significance of the study, while reviewing the current state of national and international research on group learning and cooperative ability. On this basis, the research methodology and content are determined. The second chapter defines the core concepts on the basis of the literature, and analyses the feasibility and necessity of the study after studying the theoretical foundations of cooperative group learning and the development of students’ cooperative skills,in order to support the study theoretically.Chapter 3 analyses the current situation and designs the research.Firstly,a questionnaire is distributed at the beginning of the school year to investigate and analyse the current situation of cooperative group learning and the current situation of students’ cooperative ability in this major, and to collect data.Chapter 4 is the analysis of the implementation and effects of the study. In the study, teaching practice is carried out in conjunction with the existing cooperative group learning teaching model. This study will use SQL2014 as the platform to carry out two rounds of practical research with teaching content such as database and table operations in the database course, and two classroom evaluation scores will be conducted in the teaching practice.Questionnaires will be distributed again at the end of the teaching practice to tally the post-test data. The SPSS paired sample t-test was carried out on the data tallied from the questionnaire pre and post tests and the test results were used to analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of the learning practice and to summarize the factors influencing the development of students’ collaborative practice skills. Finally, the conclusion and outlook of the study are presented.Based on the above results, strategies for the development of students’ cooperative ability in cooperative group learning are proposed.Limitations of the study are summarized and future research is considered.
