With comprehensively deepening the reform of basic education,the traditional mode of teaching,which focuses on teaching materials,classrooms and teachers,is being eliminated and replaced by the "student-centered" mode.Consequently,it is very significant to foster autonomous learning ability for students.But according to the survey,autonomous learning ability of students in primary school is inadequate.There are a lot of problems during their self-directed learning.For examples,they are lack of intense and persistent motivation,irrelevant usage of English learning strategies and lack of awareness about self-assessment.Thus,the purpose of our research is to try to change traditional English teaching method in the primary school and use the task lists to improve the students' ability of autonomous learning in English course.Finally,students gradually develop a good habit of autonomous learning.What's more,their autonomy,subjectivity,independence will be promoted.This research mainly can be divided into the following three parts:The first two chapters are the first part.This part is the theoretical basis of this paper.Chapter one mainly includes the research background,purpose and meaning of research.This chapter illuminates how to carry out the urgency and necessity of this study.Chapter two is the literature review part,introducing some relative research of autonomous learning and task lists at home and abroad.In this chapter,there are the concept,characteristics of autonomous learning and its application in foreign language subject.And it also covers the conception about task lists and the differences among the task lists,the teaching plans,the learning case and the guided learning plan.The second part is the chapter three,four,five and six,which are the main part of this paper.Chapter three analyzes the research questions,the research object,research methods and research steps.The chapter four is the preparation before the starting of action research.In this chapter,the researcher mainly presents the status quo of autonomous learning ability in primary school,the design philosophy and processes about task lists and the overall layout of action research.The chapter five is the implementation of the action research process,by using interview method and classroom observation,the researcher develops action research for nearly one year(three rounds)in S primary school in Ningbo.The finding shows that as for primary school English classroom teaching,the task list is applicable and effective.And it can effectively improve students' learning autonomy.Chapter six is the research suggestion.On the basis of above research,the researcher proposes some strategies to use the task lists to cultivate students' English autonomous learning ability.Chapter seven is the third part of the paper--the research conclusion.It is conclusion of this paper,proposing the deficiency and prospects of this paper.
