The relationship between teachers and students is a kind of social relationship in the context of education.As one of the most basic interpersonal relationships in the campus,it is a "link" between teachers and students running through the whole educational activity.So,it is very important for both education and the physical and mental development of students.Universities are significant for a country,and the relationship between teachers and students is especially highlighted and important in a university.However,with the development of the society and changes of times,there are some alienated problems emerged from the teacher-student relationship,which reported by the mass media and caught by the author's personal experience in recent years.These problems are indifference,intensity and utilitarian,which go against with the "harmonious teacher-student relationship?.In this thesis,the author provides a further explanation of ?Alienation of teacher-student relationship and preliminarily discussed the reasons.Since classrooms are the most important places for communication between teachers and students,the author attempts to verify whether there are alienated problems with the teacher-student relationship in universities from their verbal interaction by mainly using classroom observation method."Sentence Completion test" and "Interview" method are worked as assistant measures to explore what kind of alienation has happened and the reasons of alienation.The result shows that the relationship between teachers and students has been alienated.Firstly,cognition between teachers and students are defamiliarized and objectified;secondly,the affection between teachers and students is full of tension and indifference;thirdly,the contact between teachers and students is secularized and dissonant.Causes behind this phenomenon are various and we can't improve the teacher-student relationship without the joint efforts.
