Mathematics is a developing process of constant generalization.The characteristics of mathematics is to study the high generalizing ideological materials and the most essential one is the high generalization.The mathematics generalizing capability is the required ability for studying math and the mathematics generalizing level is the key to influence the math learning development.Some researches show that the primary school stage is a period for the students to quickly develop their mathematics generalizing capability.Centered on the the students' mathematics generalizing capability and based on related theories,this thesis adopted the methods of testing,interviewing,quantitative analysis and qualitative.It took the primary students from Grade 4 to Grade 6 from three different schools as the research objects and did a survey on the their mathematics generalizing capability.At the same time,three teachers with different years of teaching were interviewed.Then this thesis analyzed the math teaching from the prospective that teachers cultivate the students' mathematics generalizing capability and also analyzed the influencing factors of the students' mathematics generalizing capability development.There are 6 parts in the thesis.Chapter One Introduction including the research background,research significance,research method and problem raising.In Chapter Two Literature Review,the domestic and foreign researches were analyzed as well as the author's own understanding of it.Chapter Three studied the meaning,contents,characteristics,ways of students' mathematics generalizing capability and also the theoretical application of constructivism in cultivating the students' mathematics generalizing capability.In Chapter Four,the author made an empirical investigation on the students' mathematics generalizing capability from Grade 4 to Grade 6.Taking three primary schools of some town in Ganxian County,Jiangxi Province,the author analyzed the present situation of the students' mathematics generalizing capability and the existing differences.The research results showed that with the increasing of the ages,the students mathematics generalizing capability became stronger and ways of it varied.And the Grade 6 students' mathematics generalizing capability had a qualitative flight.In Chapter Five,after analyzing the present situation of the students' mathematics generalizing capability and consulting the interview to the related teachers,the author analyzed the teaching of the teachers to cultivate the students' mathematics generalizing capability.In Chapter Six,the factors influencing the students' mathematics generalizing capability were analyzed and internal and external causes were included.Then according to the present situation of the students' mathematics generalizing capability,some suggestions for the students' studying and teachers' teaching were put forward.
