With the acceleration of the process of globalization and the continuously increasing of the openness and cooperation between the countries,English,as an international language,attaches great importance of education sectors of non-English-speaking countries.Some programmatic documents such as The English Curriculum Criterion in CompulsoryEducation phase(for experimental use)published in September 2001 and The Guidelines on Promoting English Teaching in Primary Schools point out that English teaching should be student-centered and that much attention should be paid to the pupils' physical and psychological development and their interests,so that they would learn English in carefree and lively atmosphere.Game teaching is the educational method which emerged and entered class on the basis of such principle.A scientific and reasonable game teaching is more suitable to the physical and psychological features of elementary students,and it is beneficial to the development of children's ability in many aspects,and it has a favorable effect to fully mobilize the students' interest and enthusiasm,and thus facilitate the implementation and fulfillment of the concepts in the new courses in elementary English step by step.This study takes the fourth grade of X primary school as a case study,analyzes the current situation of English teaching,designs and implements English game teaching,summarizes the effect and influence of English game teaching and puts forward suggestions for the shortcomings in the study.The study is divided into the following parts:Part one: Introduction.Mainly introduces the research origin,the related research both at home and abroad,the core concept definition,research purpose and significance,research ideas and designs.Part two: The analysis of the teaching situation of case.The background of the selected cases is described in detail,through interviews with teachers,questionnaire analysis of students' questionnaire and classroom observation data,the following problems are found: teachers' classroom teaching methods are tedious,students has low interest in English learning.Part three: The Design and Implementation of English Game Teaching.Through the cooperation with teachers and determine the implementation of the teaching content,the use of English teaching in the design of the game,clear the teaching objectives and role of each link game.Implement the English game teaching on the basis of fully prepared,and sum up the inadequacy after each class.Part four: The effect and analysis of English game teaching.Through the comparison of the questionnaire before and after the implementation of the English game teaching,the examination scores and the interview records of the individual students,it can be foundthat the game teaching can stimulated the students' interest in learning,changed the students' learning attitude and improved the students' English achievement.The teaching of the game also had a positive effect on the teaching methods of the teachers.Part five: Suggestions on English Game Teaching in Bilingual Primary Schools.Teachers need to clear the purpose of the game,innovative game forms,gams design should close to student life,and consider all students;teachers in the implementation of the game teaching process to allow students to clear the rules of the game,in the form of competition to organize the game,timely evaluation to give encouragement.
