Metacognitive strategy is a high-level executive skills,refers to consciously using metacognitive knowledge learning tasks for reasonable planning,scheduling,monitoring,regulation and evaluation.In Since the 20 th century,many Chinese and foreign language scholars have conducted extensive research in the field of metacognitive theory and metacognitive strategy and teaching.Recent years,scholars in our country will put metacognitive into the teaching of listening comprehension,their research has opened up a new train of thought for listening teaching,but just how metacognitive strategy more scientific and more effectively used in the secondary vocational English listening teaching remains to be further discussion and research.In order to study the effectiveness of employing metacognitive strategies in second language learners' English listening,this study carries out a 17-week metacognitive-strategytraining-based experiment on 110 grade vocational students from YueYangVocational&Technical College,divides into two classes-experimental class and controlled class..From before listening,listen,listen to the three stages respectively,to be prepared for the plan,arrange learning,monitor the learning process and evaluation of listening metacognitive listening strategies on the three aspects such as classroom teaching experiment.In listening teaching of metacognitive strategy for guidance to the students of secondary vocational English listening teaching helps to cultivate and enhance students,arranging learning plan,monitoring the hearing process,self assessment hearing effect,find problems and weak links,and the ability to adjust to learning strategies,thus to promote the students' listening learning enthusiasm,improve students' listening level.The study also proved that based on metacognitive strategy training in secondary vocational English listening teaching not only helps to enhance the students' metacognitive awareness,help to improve students' listening ability,and to develop the students' ability of autonomous learning has a positive impact.In this paper,the authors suggest that metacognitive strategy training can be classified as secondary vocational English teaching content,teaching focusing on students' strategy awareness and the ability to use strategies effectively,help the students learn to learn,but it helps to improve students' learning about their listening ability to plan,monitor and evaluate effectively,stimulate students' learning motivation,optimization study way,improve the level of hearing.
