The Elementary Education Curriculum Summary(Trial)clearly puts forward the three-level managerial system of curriculum which includes nation curriculum and regional and school-based curriculum management.It also puts forward that the education of elementary and secondary school,with their own characteristics,should shift from exam-oriented education to national comprehensive quality promotion.Based on this background,school-based curriculum development of primary and secondary school has become an important part of elementary education curriculum reform,satisfying the needs of development strategy on characteristic education of different regions and schools.This article looks at a case study of lion dance school-based curriculum development of Guangzhou Ruibao Primary School which digs its own characteristic project and takes lion dance as a physical school-based course.Under the three-level managerial system of curriculum,this research makes an intensive study through document study,action study,search study and observation method.In the course of lion dance school-based curriculum development,the author,guided by the theory of Sports and Health Curriculum Criterion,combines the school concept with the characteristics of lion dance,and then puts forward the curriculum concept of lion dance and adopts the thoughts of curriculum design and development mainly based on Target Mode.Led by the curriculum concept,this article first sets the curriculum general goal which leads the goals of five learning areas and the learning objectives at each level,and then establishes a structured target system.Second,based on the target system and the differences on students' learning ability,this article simplifies and recreates the actions of traditional lion dance and at the same time changes its props and instruments to meet the needs of students,and in the end it establishes the course content system from easy to difficult.Third,this article carries out intensive researches on classroom education,physical activity with long-break and lion dance school-based curriculum around students' physical and psychological characteristics.It also initially builds up the educational evaluation system of lion dance school-based curriculum.The conclusions are as following:(1)Lion dance has deep roots in traditional culture with multiple values and social functions on fitness,entertainment and education.It has widely basis of the masses and many students love it.If this kind of traditional sports activity,which is suitable the development conditions of school-based curriculum,is regarded as a kind of development and appliance of physical school-based curriculum,it will play an important role in implementing the three-level managerial system of curriculum and promoting the school curriculum reform and the development of characteristic education.Therefore,each region and school can depend on its own situation to develop suitable traditional sports activities to supplement and enrich educational content of sports and health courses.(2)National folk sports item,as a kind of school-based curriculum development,should depend on The Elementary Education Curriculum Reform Summary and Sports and Health Curriculum Criterion,and follow the principles of scientificity,feasibility,education and enjoyment.The individuality of students should also be noticed.Schools should base on their own conditions to choose the items which are suitable to develop characteristic education,respect the rules of students' physical and mental development,and have multiple values and functions.The curriculum development and introduction can make sure the effective development of students' physical education and health.(3)The subject of sports item is motor skill.Target Mode relatively fits the development of school-based curriculum,which is consistent with the teaching suggestion-the goal leading the content and measure of education,which is mentioned in Sports and Health Curriculum Criterion.Therefore,schools should depend on the requirements of national educational policy and respect the rules of students' physical and mental development.The overall goal of course,goals of different learning fields and learning targets at different levels should be set based on different conditions and projects.The goal of course is the basis and the essence.It leads the educational content and form and the establishment of evaluation system.(4)The development and implement of lion dance school-based curriculum of Ruibao Primary School play an important role in promoting teachers' professional growth and overall development of students.It has a considerable impact on developing characteristic education.The development of this course fellows the basic concept of curriculum,assuring a scientific,reasonable and effective curriculum development and displaying the curriculum's school-based characteristics.It serves as an effective case of school-based curriculum development.It also provides reference for the school-based curriculum development of other sports events.
