This article first estimate the overeducation incidence in each unit,occupation by empirical validation method and average method using CHNS micro survey data.It is found that overeducation occurrence rate is relatively high is mainly doctors,lawyers.While the agricultural shepherd,skilled workers' incidence of over education has been at a low level.The uneven distribution of over education cause distinct level of human capital among different regions and industries.On the base of the previous study,this paper research the status and and reasons of the over education in China mainly from the perspective of labor demand.Based on the ORU model,we estimated that of the rate return of over education.We found that the rate of over education is positive,but the rate of return of over education is less than the rate of return of appropriate education.The level of education beyond the position required can be partially compensated,however,the marginal compensation for the increment of unit education gradually decreases.It shows that allocation efficiency of educational resources is lower.On the base of the previous research,we begin to analyze what factors affect overeducation depending on Logit and Probit statistical method.It is found that the excessive education are mainly affected by the individual factors such as work experiences,individual education and whether or not to convert work;by the social factors such as region,enterprise nature,the scale of the enterprise and the nature of the position.
