The adaptability of college freshmen is a problem that can not be ignored in the teaching management of the whole world.Freshman seminar is a subject in American universities to help students complete life, academic adaptation and conversion. The effect of the freshman seminar is universally affirmed by the universities, professors and students of the whole nation. In recent years,Chinese colleges and universities have to follow suit, but the effect is good and bad. There are two reasons, one is to understand the situation of foreign students is not comprehensive.Second, the purpose of the domestic study and the actual situation is not clear. In this study,we selected the representative project of American Adaptation freshman seminar-University of South Carolina 101 project as a research case, using literature, comparative study and case analysis to explore the construction of new students from the perspective of learning community.Through the literature analysis, this paper introduces the historical development, current situation, development motive force and implementation effect of the American Freshman Seminar, and makes a comprehensive background introduction to the American Freshman Seminar.Based on the perspective of learning community, the course objectives, curriculum, peer leadership graduate program, teacher professional growth plan and school resource support plan of the University of South Carolina 101 project are introduced. Finally, the paper analyzes the practical elements of the new students in the perspective of learning community, and puts forward the construction strategy. The main point of this paper is the new course is an important cooperative construction, which is a kind of systematic cooperation. In the seminar, the links between members are not limited by time and space, and can be with the class, schools and other communities. The research question arises from the real demand. The learner obtains "academic intelligence" and "working intelligence" with the experts in the field,so as to obtain the initiative to find, identify, evaluateand use the information resources,The development of situational resources and the ability to deal with emergency problems, and ultimately have a "community ownership",this sense of belonging to promote students to obtain a cultural identity and behavior practice, and ultimately this learning philosophy, learning methods into the future Learning, living, working.Through the empirical analysis of the 101 project of the University of South Carolina, this study argues that our universities should be able to help new students accelerate their integration into college life, develop learning habits and promote the mental health and social development of college students in the construction of new courses.Second,to establish a good learning atmosphere, change the classroom teaching model,to attract new students to participate in classroom teaching, improve the quality of undergraduate course teaching.Third,to promote the establishment of campus learning community, establish a sound project implementation plan, make full use of the campus resources, cooperation and exchange opportunities,do a good job between formal and informal organizations.
