The "self-identity crisis" often occurs in adolescents,Erikson in his famous "eight-stage theory" put forward that the core task of this stage is resolving self-identity and role confusion.If the self-identity crisis can not be successfully resolved,it will forming an indifferent personality,lack of awareness of love,lack of self-identity and a series of serious consequences,also leading to a lasting negative impact.However,it is necessary for the youngsters living in the family with the disabled member to help them to improve their self-identity level,because of the negative influence of the social and cultural environment,family,school and other factors,who are more likely to fall into crisis than normal adolescents.Due to the influence of the client XIAOJUN's early life events,her belief system has its self-identity disorder.In this paper,the qualitative research method is to be used.Then,based on the perspective of the ABC personality theory,this paper analyzes the causes of lacking of the self-identity,and adopts the Rational Emotive and behavioral Therapy(REBT)as a specific intervention method.Under the guiding ideology of “helping people to help themselves” which helps the case to resolve the self-identity crisis,so that the client can regain confidence.In the positive implementation of intervention services,the situation of the case can be improved by the scale of the data before and after the comparison.The researcher can determine the client's sense of self-identity.At the last return visit,the client still maintain a well self-identity,which means the ABC theory achieved the success in this case.At the end of the paper,the researcher make a reflection on the limitations and techniques used in this case,summarize the practical experience of it,and expect to extend the whole practice model to society.Teenagers in the families with the same problem can be helped to ride out such crisis.
