Research On Disable Children’s Needs In Foster Family And Social Work Intervention

With the development and reformation of our nation’s social welfare, the welfare of children has been the focus in social welfare, especially the caring of orphans and disable children has been accepted. Nowadays, the caring model of orphans and disable children can separated in two:machine maintenance and foster family. Due to the situation of nowdays machine maintenance can’t give support to the welfare needs of orphans and disable children, foster family becomes a potential model and develops fast. For giving the maximized help to those children, our nation’s gavornment and welfare institutions begin conducting pilot project in foster family model. With the rapid development of social welfare, some problems appear in foster work, social work intervention can help foster children’s growing and foster families become more harmonious.This article attempts to use the condition of our nation’s foster family development as research background, then does reaserch in foster family developing ways, insighting into the needs satisfied of orphans and diable children in foster family. After accessing foster children’s needs, drawing up some intervention plan to discuss feasibility. There are main four parts in this article:the first part, introducing some relevant concepts of foster family and developing condition in domestic and abroad, including the advantages and disadvantages; the second part, analyzing different needs of foster children, and accessing their needs; the third part, according to children’s rehabilitation need and education need, formulating social work intervention plan; the fourth part, discussing to give some suggestion to the intervention.
