Test anxiety has become one of the psychological problems which are widespread in our country among primary and middle school students.In previous studies,middle school students' test anxiety problem has been more attention because of the entrance pressure.But now,the test anxiety problem is occurring in children at younger and younger ages.We should attach great importance to rural elementary students' test anxiety.The investigation based on the review of test anxiety and social comparison orientation theories.We selected 200 students in three rural elementary schools in Hebei as the respondents.The study used the TAI and Social Comparison Orientation Scale to describe the state of the rural high-grade pupils' test anxiety and to analyze the relationship among social comparison orientation,academic performance and the test anxiety.On the basis of social comparison tendency type,we offered to use the cognitive behavior therapy to affect the students' social comparison strategy.The main conclusions are as follows:1.5-6 grade test anxiety of the overall situation of rural primary school: high accounted for 21.2% of the total number of test anxiety,moderate accounted for 64.8% of the total number of test anxiety,low accounted for 14% of the total number of test anxiety.2.Students about their satisfaction with test anxiety level exists significant differences.3.There is a significant positive correlation between the anxiety level of the rural primary school pupils in Grade 5-6 and the tendency of social comparison.4.The students who have serious test anxiety tend to adopt the mode of upward social comparison.The students who don't have serious test anxiety tend to adopt the mode of upward assimilation or parallel assimilation social comparison,and there are also a large part of students present a low tendency of social comparison.
