In recent years,education researchers have been exploring new teaching methods which cater to the new curriculum reform.Especially for the junior high school classes,the key research direction has been letting the students become more active during the class and make the class more fun.Since the end of last century,foreign researchers keep trying to use peer instruction for teaching.The teaching method is gradually accepted by more and more researchers after 20 years' deliberation and application.However,such research is much less in our country,especially the application into the junior high school classes.The article attempts to apply Peer Instruction in chemistry teaching at Junior High School and to find out the outcomes as well as effect of it.The article analyzes the Peer Instruction method from both theory and practice perspectives.The paper summarizes the study results of peer teaching method both in China and others countries.Meanwhile,it also includes the analysis of the junior middle school chemistry textbooks and clarification educational purpose under the new curriculum reform.As a result,we raise a teaching method combined with the teaching documents and Peer Instruction.From practice perspective,the author specifically researches the junior high school chemistry textbook and apply peer teaching method for teaching during the lecture and review class.I provide a high quality analysis of the effort with application peer instruction in junior middle school chemistry classroom.The author formulates a corresponding follow-up questionnaire;collects the opinions and attitudes from junior middle school students about peer teaching method;and finds out all the ideas of teachers by face-to-face interview.After all the work,the author carefully analyses the conclusions from every sides in order to come up with the main conditions that influence the junior middle school chemistry class in China and discusses the advantages and disadvantages of it.Finally the implementation guideline is concluded and the article summarizes some suggestions and reflections in order to provide references for application Peer Instruction in junior middle school chemistry class in China.
