Picture Book Reading is a kind of beautiful scenery of a composition of brief and short sentences and wonderful pictures.Picture book is extremely related to child’s mental development and the PRB lets many educators see the potential value in schools education in deed.Now more and more picture books are engaging in the kindergartens and ordinary schools,especially for the lower class.However,for children with special needs in special schools,picture books are rarely used and misunderstood in Chinese language teaching.Hence,how to engage the PRB into the the Chinese language teaching to improve the student’s language skills is the vital part of this research.It also hopes to give some suggestions to teachers who teach language in special schools.This paper consists of three chapters.First part expounds the concepts of the PBR and language skills of lower special school students.Second part focuses on the possibilities,necessity,and acceleration of engaging PBR into the lower special school students.The third introduces some teaching strategies of the PBR.This part emphasizes the principles of selection of picture book,reading skills of picture books and improvement and organization of the PBR.The author enhances the language skills by involving multiple and interesting ways of students learning.
