In the study of educational theory and practice at home and abroad,reading is playing an increasingly important role,especially for children's growth and learning.Reading is being valued by more and more people.In early reading,the Ministry of Education has incorporated it into outlines and guidelines,and preschool teachers are actively implementing reading teaching.Functions such as pictures and texts in picture books can meet children's reading characteristics and reading needs,and are important resources for children to read.In the early stages of language development,language is an important tool for communication and thinking,as well as a tool for expressing ideas.The development of children's language ability can be carried out in a good language education environment,which has also played a positive role in children's cognitive,social and emotional development.In the latest research,the key experience of the American "high and wide curriculum" also includes language,literacy,and communication that conform to China's children's development outline.It also discusses the key experience gained in children's picture books and the characteristics of teachers based on children's development.Effective language teaching activities also provide a reference.Therefore,this article explores the development of children's language ability by studying picture book reading.The main research objects are small children of 3-4years old.The study is mainly targeted at 60 children in a small class in a kindergarten in Dalian.At the same time,12 kindergarten teachers were interviewed,reseacher use observation and case analysis to discuss the characteristics of children's language ability and the relationship between picture book reading and improving children's language ability in small classes,as well as the influencing factors of picture book reading on the development of children's language ability.It is found through research that there is a relationship between children's language skills and key language experiences in picture book reading,but there are also some problems.Weneed to use the guidelines and key experiences in the U.S.prospective curriculum,which has developed rapidly in recent years to draw pictures for children.The book reading provides guidance and suggestions,which is also the innovation of this thesis.It is hoped that through these strategies,children's language skills will be improved,so as to better promote the harmonious development of children's physical and mental aspects.
