Nowadays,teachers and parents pay more and more attention to the study of students.In many problems that affect students' learning,emotional factor is an important issue that can't be ignored.The affective filter hypothesis suggests that anxiety prevents the second language learners from acquiring better comprehensible input and anxiety is an emotional factor.Researchers at home and abroad did a lot of research studies about the formation and influence of English speaking anxiety.It show that there is a negative impact on students' oral English speaking anxiety and high anxious students will get low score in the oral English test.Therefore,how to overcome the problem of oral anxiety has become a topic of concern.In this paper,the cooperative learning approach is used to overcome the English classroom anxiety to provide affective teaching strategies for teachers.There is theoretical and practical value in this paper.Based on the Affective Filter Hypothesis and Cooperative Learning Theory,this paper discusses the topic that Cooperative Learning Theory can reduce oral anxiety.The subjects in the test are senior high school students in Harbin.One class was selected as the experimental class for one semester.The other one is normal class.Before and after the experiment,the data were collected by Oral Anxiety Scale and English oral test,and then analyzed by spss22.0.The results show that high school students have different degrees of oral anxiety,most of the high school students have a very serious problem of oral anxiety.In the course of the study,the author found some problems: the anxiety problem that cooperative learning objectives are not clear;the anxiety problem that cooperative learning group is not reasonable;the anxiety problem that teachers can't be work in cooperative learning;the anxiety problem that role division is not in place.And put forward the solving strategies: teachers carefully design content,clear teaching objectives;teachers should optimize the grouping;teachers should change their roles(content choosers,participants,feedback summarist);teachers should make a reasonable division of labor.Finally,it is the conclusion and feedback.
