Textbook as the main tool of teaching and learning in teaching practice,played a crucial role in the teaching process,it not only as the main resource of students' knowledge,it is also the representative of the new curriculum standard.With the vigorous development of the education reform and put forward the policy of "one more",more and more materials into the textbook market.In the face of all kinds of teaching materials,teachers choose appropriate student teaching materials is of crucial importance.At present,based on the practice teaching of teaching evaluation is less,so this paper on the basis of the existing domestic and foreign research theory,on the basis of the new curriculum standard,foreign research version of high school English teaching materials(hereinafter referred to as the teaching material of NSE)has carried on the qualitative analysis and evaluation,and its usage is questionnaire.This paper enrich the theory of teaching evaluation and teaching evaluation for the future researchers,using research version of high school English teaching material of the teachers and students provides a certain reference.This paper aims to study the following three questions:1)The teaching material of NSE whether meet the requirements of the new course standard ?2)NSE materials can meet the needs of students and teachers in teaching?3)What are the advantages and disadvantages of NSE textbooks,how can we improve its shortcomings?The author USES the questionnaire for study.Questionnaire including teacher questionnaire and student questionnaire,the questionnaire was adapted according to Grant,teaching evaluation,this survey in October 2016 in Harbin in Heilongjiang province of the two different high school,the survey of the participants is the use of teaching materials of NSE: students and their English teacher is a key school,the other is a regular school.Through the questionnaire data with statistics software SPSS22.0 quantitative analysis,using descriptive statistics to calculate proportion effective percentage and frequency.After research,the author found that NSE materials meet the "new curriculum standard" proposed by five dimensions.At the same time,the authors adopted an innovative way to display the content of the teaching material of NSE,NSE includes all topic put forward by the "new curriculum standard",each module around a topic development training of the four basic English skills,and to present vocabulary in context in the environment.As for grammar teaching method,compared with the traditional methods,NSE adopted quite different ways,called the heuristic teaching,making students active rather than passive learning.Most participants thought culture corner is their favorite part,this part can bring help to the students and the challenge.Some topics often repeated,of course,the article material is not real,lexical repetition rate is too low,the student is not easy to remember,and so on,all of these make the NSE less popular.
