With the development of economic and technology,the education carrier gets on to a new step.English plays an pretty important role in the progress of current society as a subject in modern education.A teacher who is regarded as a translator of knowledge,plays a great important role in the teaching carrier.Therefore,it's certain for an English teacher to obtain plenty of professional knowledge.Pedagogical content knowledge is the basic knowledge for English teachers' effective teaching,at the same time,it's the core and soul of teachers' professional knowledge.So the PCK become a new hot research topic in recent years and also it provides a new view for the research of English education and teachers' professional knowledge.In recent years,many researchers from abroad and home have a research on the pedagogical content knowledge from various levels and aspects but there are relatively less research on the PCK of senior high school English teacher.Therefore,the thes is has research on the following questions from the perspective of PCK combing English in order to promote the development of PCK and teachers' professionalize.Firstly,the author has researched on the actual situation of senior high school English teachers' PCK.Secondly,what are the exist problems of senior high school English teachers' PCK? Thirdly,there will give some teaching strategies according to the exist problems so as to promote the progress of senior high school English teachers' PCK.The paper analys is of the document,and research method is the questionnaire and interview.Research subjects are fifty English teachers who are from two senior high schools of a county of Hohhot.Moreover,two female English teachers and a male English teacher who were involved in the interview.In the paper,SPSS 17.0 is used to analyze the data of questionnaire.Besides,the author makes a collection and discussion for the English teacher's interviews.At last,according to the results of data analys is,the thesis puts forward some related suggestions.Results of the research: The paper divided the PCK into five dimens ions,following are conclusions from five dimensions.1.They have a general mastery about the knowledge of English teaching purpose,and a majority of English teachers are not clear about the vertical knowledge of Teaching purpose.2.For the knowledge of learners,as an senior high school English teachers,they can't predict what occurred mistakes easily in understanding.3.For the knowledge of English subject matter,most of English teachers can master plenty of professional knowledge,but they expand less other English knowledge especially the cross-cultural knowledge.Moreover,a part of English teachers have few knowledge about teaching strategy.4.For the knowledge of English teaching context,most of English teachers are unable to know the campus culture.An English teacher spends little time to organize some extra-curricular activities,such as English debate competition and English corner.5.For the knowledge of self-reflection,a large number of English teachers haven't form a habit of doing self-reflection regularly and also don't clear about the contents of reflection.Suggestions for the research: 1.strength to infuse some vertical knowledge of teaching purpose in the training.2.at the b asis of actual teaching,there should be more knowledge of how to conclude the students ' knowledge in the training from various aspects.3.English teachers in senior high school should expend approach of learning and increase much cross-cultural knowledge.On the other hand,learning more teaching strategy knowledge in the training.4.a senior high school should create and advocate campus culture;English teacher also should organize lots of extra-curricular activities and gain the approach of learning English.5.cultivating the awareness of English teachers' self-reflection;learning more knowledge of self-reflection in the training.
