An increasing number of studies about the relationship between academic procrastination and academic emotions were widely existed at home and abroad.However,previous researches have almost focused on the influence of academic emotions on academic procrastination.It is rare that the study about the effect of academic procrastination on academic emotion.With college students as subjects,questionnaires are the main methods in this study to explore the influence academic procrastination on academic Emotion.Furthermore,the research introduced self-congruence as mediator variable to analyses the internal mechanism behind this influence.First of all,we used Academic Procrastination Inventory for College Students,Self Consistency and Congruence Scale and General Academic Emotion Questionnaire for College Students to investigate the characteristics of college students' academic procrastination,Self-congruence and academic emotions of 427 college students and analysis the differences of these three variables in some demographic variables respectively.Next,we analyzes the relationships among academic procrastination,self-congruence and academic emotions and their prediction to each other.In the end,we explores whether the self-congruence plays an intermediate role between academic procrastination and academic emotion.Research conclusions are as follows:(1)For college students in this study,procrastinators and non procrastinators almost cover a half of the overall number of people respectively;A majority of college students are in moderate level of self-congruence,only a few students are high self-congruence or low self-congruence,high self-congruence students are the smallest group;On the whole,positive emotions is more than negative emotions in college students.(2)There are gender difference on academic procrastination and the dimension of done awfully;There are grade difference on self-experience inconsistency dimension and self-congruence;There are also grade difference on the dimension of negative-high arousal and positive-low arousal.(3)Academic procrastination has significant positive correlation with self congruence;The dimension of academic procrastination have different predictive effect on self consistency.(4)Academic procrastination is positively correlated with negative academic emotions and has significant negatively correlated with positive academic emotions.The dimension of done awfully can positively predict negative academic emotions.The dimension of insufficient planning can negatively predict positive academic emotions.(5)Total score of self-congruence has significant positive correlation with negative academic emotions and it is negatively correlated with positive academic emotions.All dimensions of self-congruence can predict negative-low arousal and positive-low arousal.The dimension of self-experience inconsistency can positively predict negative-high arousal.The score of the dimension of self flexibility can negatively predict positive-high arousal.(6)Self-congruence plays a role of being a complete mediator between academic procrastination and negative-high arousal and being a partial mediator between academic procrastination and the rest of the three kinds of academic emotions.
