The researchers have begun to emphasize the significance of emotion for language learning on account of the progress of humanistic psychology and people oriented.Educators found that language teaching should not be isolated,because it is closely linked to learners' emotion.Psychologists and pedagogues believe that the education which only underlines the development of knowledge and intelligence,ignores emotion evolution will resulted in the appearance of "emotional illiteracy".Language learning not merely means what to learn,but means how to learn.The issue of emotional factors in language learning has been brought to language educational field attention.Foreign language anxiety has been focused by researchers due to its peculiarity in language learning course.The pivotal theory of SLA tell us that the prime time of foreign language learning is the phrase of primary school.The writer found that foreign language anxiety widely rested in pupils in various ways through searching related literature at home and abroad.Therefore,it's so magnificent to know the foreign language anxiety in the round.In this paper,I gathered data from 660 primary students in G elementary school in Fuzhou,using the FLCAS as the instrument.The writer also interviewed several students and first-tier English teachers so that I can get a further understanding of elementary students' anxiety and have a deep knowledge of the influential factors.The main findings are as follows:1.The FLA can be easily seen in the elementary school students.The majority of them are caught in medium anxiety,but few meet with high anxiety.2.With the increase of their grades,the anxiety of pupils will become higher and higher;meanwhile,boys are easier apt to anxiety than girls.3.Students with extroversion,more self-confidence and better achievement less encountered FLA during English study.4.The factors resulted in FLA mainly include teachers,students,environment and tasks.5.Based on the findings,the writer make several educational advice on reducing foreign language anxiety.
