As a universal social psychological phenomenon,conformity is also a main pattern of social influence and one of the special scientific research behaviors among college teachers.Study on scientific research conformity of college teachers is a certain of exploration of types,features and differences the teachers can(subjectively or objectively)be influenced by the object when working on scientific research.It can not only reveal the nature of college teachers’ scientific research conformity,but is also of theoretical and practical significance on helping managers to correctly cognize conformity,developing scientific management policy,and directing the teachers to behave better during scientific research.Using humanistic and social conformity theory,the paper analyzes scientific research behavior of college teachers based on exploration of abidance,compliance,obedience and herd behavior in method of interview,questionnaire,data analysis and literature analysis.The questionnaire covers teachers of Northeastern University,Liaoning University and Shenyang Normal University,subjects in respect of arts,science,engineering,management and rhythmic gymnastics.The paper analyzes data of valid questionnaire and the result shows:(1)There are differences among the four types of scientific research conformity-obedience,abidance,compliance and herd behavior.Among them,obedience makes up the largest percentage of 37%,then abidance of 30.6%and herd behavior the smallest percentage of 11%.(2)Each type of conformity behavior is of difference in respect of cognition process,emotional experience and will process.They are of less significant or significant difference expect obedience and compliance in respect of cognition process.(3)Scientific research of college teachers can mainly be influenced by school policy,research team,family,friend or colleague,personal preference or ideal.Among the teachers with obedience behavior,59.4%of them regard school policy as the most influence factor;Among teachers with abidance behavior,85.6%of them regard personal preference or ideal as the most important factor;School policy and research team influence mostly on teachers with herd behavior working on scientific research;While teachers with compliance behavior regard family,friend or colleague as the most important influential factor.(4)According to features of scientific research conformity and its influence factors,the paper provides guide strategy for management department on suggestion of scientific research behavior of college teachers:improving cognitive capability,developing research interest,stimulating research motivation formulating cultural and academic atmosphere,improving management system and strengthening team construction according to theoretical and practical study result.This paper is creative in respect of exploration on types,features and differences of teachers’scientific research and behavioral management on scientific research.It has significant reference value in arousing enthusiasm and initiative of university teachers’scientific research,improving quality of teacher level and scientific research,and overall quality of the teacher team.
