| In the 21 st century,the new curriculum innovation is proposing core concepts of biology that occupy a central position in all the knowledge of biology and play a ruling part in conceptual knowledge.With the deepening of curriculum innovation,core concepts teaching is increasingly entering biology classroom.Traditional education focus on independently teaching knowledge so student learn knowledge by rote,however understanding and application of core concepts should be advocated in teaching.Improving the holistic thinking of student and laying a solid foundation for lifelong learning.By applying the literature analysis method,questionnaire survey and case study method,the current research is carried out on the strategies of proposing core concepts teaching in high school biology classes.The purpose of this study is to use the core concepts that can accurately grasp the lifeline knowledge on biology so as to provide purpose for teaching practices of core knowledge in biology.This paper was divided into five parts.The first part focused on not only the background,purpose and significance of this research but also the current situation of core concepts and research content and methods.The second part reviewed related theories of core concepts teaching,analyzed its standard and characteristics to lay the foundation for the following research.Part Three focused on the research method of this study.This study was carried out by practically research on teacher or student and a survey concerning the current situation of core concepts teaching or learning.Then,the statistics were analyzed and dealt with and the reasons were discussed as well.In the fourth part,the strategies were proposed by four aspects after the analysis of the factors that had effects on core concepts teaching.(1)strengthening the core concepts teaching consciousness(2)organization of teaching on core concepts(3)deepening the core concepts teaching methods(4)converting the core concepts teaching evaluation.With the discussion,all these strategies were elaborated within the cases when they were carried out in real class teaching.Educational theory should be applying to educational practice,how effective carry out the core concepts teaching will be presented in theform of case in high school biology classroom teaching.In the fifth part,reflection and summary about the implementation of core concepts teaching will be showed in paper.The purpose of this research is providing instructions that core concepts teaching is widely and successfully implemented in high school biology. |
