Developing the core literacy of students has become the focal point in present education reform.How to implement the cultivation of chemical core literacy inchemistry teaching is the key to realize the development of students' core literacy.This paper analyzes the present research situation of core literacy at home and abroad with a questionnaire designed on the basis of both the chemical core literacy system established in China and the five dimensions of chemical core literacy in a bid to reveal the current chemical core literacy of high school students.In the light of the survey results and related teaching theories,this carries out a study on the teaching materials of high school chemistry compulsory modules through three aspects:"column setting,the ways of teaching material presentation and the after-class exercises design",and analyzes the elements which are conducive to the cultivation of the chemical core literacy,and also works out corresponding teaching strategies in accordance with the research of teaching materials.During the internship,these strategies were applied to high school chemistry teaching.And the initial interview with students implied that these strategies have received positive results and have helped to cultivate students' core chemical literacy.
