The development of information technology has changed people's life and deepened people's understanding of computing discipline.Computational thinking has gradually become an important concept in the field of international education,how to cultivate students'computational thinking has become an important topic.A large number of studies and experiments have proved that learning programming can make students better grasp the nature and meaning of computational thinking,and attaching importance to developing children's learning of programming has become a hot research topic in international education.At present,the theoretical research and practical exploration of computational thinking in primary and middle schools are still in the preliminary stage.As one of the key carriers to train computational thinking,graphical programming tools have attracted the attention of most researchers.Compared with traditional programming courses,it is more interesting and easy to use.Among them App Inventor compared with other graphical programming tools,the generated APK can be installed on the mobile device for students to use daily,enabling students to have a sense of satisfaction.At the same time,the popularity of smartphones and tablets has enabled the related courses to proceed normally.Based on this,this paper uses App Inventor as a carrier to train students' computing thinking.By explicating the concept and evaluation criteria of computational thinking and IDC theory,this paper puts forward the design principles of App Inventor curriculum for computing thinking training and constructs the teaching model of App Inventor curriculum design based on PBL.Through the analysis learners,teaching objectives and teaching contents of the elementary school App Inventor curriculum,the App Inventor courses was developed based on the principles of curriculum design.Based on the PBL-based curriculum design teaching model,the teaching design of the course was completed and applied to practical teaching.After the implementation of the curriculum,the teaching effect was evaluated.It is concluded that the application of this model can promote the improvement of students' level of computational thinking in a certain extent.
