The aging of the population is an inevitable trend in the social and economic development,it will bring some difficulties and opportunities to the development of our country's social and economic development, this paper studies the influence of population aging on economic development in China from the perspective of coordination. The main contents of the study include the follows: First,we created a method which called OAECI;Second,we quantify the coordination of population aging and economic development in different provinces in China by this method, and discuss their regional differences and dynamic evolution, the following conclusions are drawn:(1)The spatial distribution of coordination in China's provinces is aggregated and not balanced. The coordination index of the western and northern provinces of our country is relatively small, for example: in 2000,2006,2011 and 2016,Inner Mongolia,Tibet,Qinghai,Ningxia and Xinjiang belong to the low load provinces.;In these four years,Jiangsu,Anhui,Hunan,Guangxi,Chongqing and Sichuan belong to the high load provinces.(2)According to the coordination index and geographical distribution characteristics of our provinces,China is divided into four regions: Eastern, southern,Western and northern regions. The eastern region including Shanghai,Jiangsu,Zhejiang,Anhui and Shandong(5);southern region including Fujian,Jiangxi,Hubei,Hunan,Guangdong,Guangxi,Hainan,Chongqing and Guizhou(9);the western region including Sichuan,Yunnan,Tibet,Shanxi,Gansu,Qinghai,Ningxia and Xinjiang(8);northern areas including Beijing,Tianjin,Hebei,,Shaanxi Inner Mongolia,Liaoning,Jilin,Heilongjiang, and Henan(9).(3)Analysis of the difference and dynamic evolution of the coordination index between China and the four major regions :From 2000 to 2008,China's coordination index continued to decline, and fluctuated in the following years. The main differences in China is regional differences. The fluctuation of regional differences is relatively small and stable, the contribution rate of ultra variable density is rising, and the contribution rate of differences between regions has a downward trend, and China's coordination index fluctuates considerably before and after 2010.
