Population aging refers to a dynamic process in which the ratio of the elderly population to the total population gradually increases and the ratio of the working-age population to the total population gradually decreases. How to realize or deal with the various effects of population aging is a hot topic in the field of economics. It is one of the important ways for China to realize high-quality economic development in the new era to deeply understand and accurately grasp the impact mechanism and consequences of population aging on China's high-quality economic development.Under this background,in-depth study on the main impact of population aging on China's high-quality economic development can not only enrich the relevant theoretical connotation, but also enrich the theoretical basis,It is also helpful to analyze the practical problems of the impact of population aging on the high-quality development of China's economy, which is of great significance to promote China's economic stability and sustainable development. This paper mainly summarizes the relevant literature and theoretical concepts at home and abroad, and defines the basic connotation of China's population aging and high-quality economic development.Firstly, based on the five development concepts, this paper measures the high-quality development level of the whole country and provinces from the five levels of "innovation, coordination, green, opening and sharing",analyzes the influence mechanism of population aging on the high-quality development level of economy, and measures the index system of the high-quality development level of economy of the whole country and provinces by using the principal component analysis method,By measuring the high-quality economic development level index from 2004 to 2017,the results show that although the economy of most provinces in China is at a high-quality development level, and shows a rising trend year by year, the fluctuation range is relatively large. It is obvious that there is still an uncoordinated development situation in China's economic development. The high-quality economic development index of the eastern region is the highest, followed by the central region, and the western region is the lowest, which is also in line with the actual situation of China's regional development.Secondly, from 2004 to 2004 in China Taking the dynamic panel data of 30 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in 2017 as samples, this paper uses the System GMM model to test the impact of population aging on the high-quality economic development level, and uses the intermediary effect model to test the impact of population aging on the high-quality economic development level through human capital accumulation. The results show that the "human capital accumulation" formed by aging has a great impact on the high-quality economic development level of our country The impact of population aging on innovation, green and sharing is consistent with its overall effect on high-quality economy,It has no significant impact on coordinated development and open development;from the perspective of different regions, the impact of population aging on the high-quality economic development level of different regions is different, and the eastern region has the fastest and deepest population aging, but the negative impact exceeds the positive impact, which indicates that the negative impact will be more obvious when the aging reaches a certain degree, that is,the impact of population aging on China's economic development Finally, according to the analysis of the results, the corresponding policy recommendations are given.
