With the continuous deepening of the new curriculum reform,teachers will first think over these issues like increasing the amount of extra-curricular reading for students,improving students' reading speed,developing students' ability to discover,analyze,and solve the problems,as well as developing good reading habits and reading literacy for students when they design a reading class.In 2008,Professor Jingzhong Zhao of Taiwan proposed the concept of “community reading teaching”,which satisfies the requirements of the new curriculum standard and textbooks for middle school students to read,and provides a new teaching idea for middle school teachers in reading teaching.The purpose of this paper is to make more people feel the charm of reading the group,and then join in the teaching of group reading through studying,implementing and reflecting on the teaching design of “Climbing” group reading.It also aims for achieving the learning standard “read more books,love reading books,read excellent books,and read the whole book”.First of all,the paper explains the cultural psychology of the topic of “Climbing”,and to explain the feasibility of “Climbing” of group reading teaching from the perspectives of students,teachers,and textbooks.Secondly,the author designs the “Climbing” group reading teaching,implement it,and collect the evaluation and feedback of teachers and students.Then,according to the implementation and evaluation,the author reviewed and rethought the teaching design of “Climbing” group reading.Finally,through the analysis and reflection on the lesson of “Understanding of ancestral spirit of Shaoling”,the teaching experience of group reading was summarized from three aspects: issues,texts,and questions design.It is a hope that the teaching design and reflection of group reading in “Climbing” can be helpful to the Chinese teachers of middle school in reading teaching.
