A Study On The Recessive Drug Abuse In Rural Areas In North China

The drug problem has become one of the most concerned social issues in the world.Drug addiction not only affects the physical health of individuals,but also easily breaks the family.It also threatens the stability and harmony of the entire society.Before the reform and opening up,drugs had disappeared for some time.However,after the reform and opening up,drug crimes have become increasingly serious,and the number of drug addicts has continued to rise.According to the latest data from the National Narcotics Control Commission,there are 29.995 million registered drug addicts in 2017.If the calculation is based on the ratio of 5:1,which is the ratio of international explicitness and implicitness,the number of drug users in China may exceed 14 million.The huge drug users will bring a series of social problems.It is especially necessary to note that the scope of drug use is gradually shifting from urban to rural areas.In the post-village society,farmers' ability to withstand risks has been greatly reduced.If drugs are allowed to spread in rural areas,the normal operation of rural society will be a huge threat.North China is located not only in the heart of China's territory,but also in the capital.To a certain extent,the long-term stability of rural areas in North China not only affects the development of the entire region,but also has an impact on the development of the entire Chinese society.Therefore,in this context,one cannot help but ask: What is the status of hidden drug addiction in rural areas in North China? What are the causes of hidden drug abuse in rural areas in North China? What is the impact of hidden drug use on rural areas in North China? In the face of this phenomenon,what should we do?This article takes Hebei XX County,which is located in the center of North China,as the observation point.Using the method of participation observation and case interview,through field research for more than two months,it has obtained a lot of first-hand information on the hidden drug abuse in rural North China.At the same time,in order to compare with the phenomenon of insidious drug use in rural areas,thisarticle also studied the phenomenon of explicit drug abuse in rural areas.The study found:The status of hidden drug addiction in rural areas in North China is mainly five points.The first insidious drug users are dominated by men and women are gradually increasing.The second group is older and has higher income.The third drug use has become a social phenomenon.The media is very contagious;the fourth most drug-taking behavior has changed from covert to semi-open;the fifth one that needs special attention is that some people start sucking.The status of the dominant drug addicts in rural areas in North China has three points.The first young men are mostly male workers,mostly serving workers;the second is mainly the consumption of new drugs and the high cost;the third low-quality social relationship leads to crowded drug use.As for the causes of hidden drug addiction in rural areas in North China,there are four main reasons.First,the cooperative relationship in rural areas is weakened,evaluation indicators are invalid,and there is no binding force on villagers;second,emotional communication is not an important incentive for drug use;the third special preference is face.It will not reject others;the rule of law in the fourth rural area is relatively weak,which has led some villagers to embark on the road to drug addiction.The causes of overt drug use in rural areas in North China are mainly caused by three points: individual curiosity and vanity;entertainment in the living environment creates an environment for drug use;the influence of group subculture.Failure to curb the spread of drugs in rural areas in time will inevitably cause bad influence.At the family level,it will not only affect the relationship between husband and wife,parent-child relationship and relatives.It may also cause the generational spread of drug use;on the social level,it causes the waste of medical resources,undermines the social climate,and may lead to more people on the road to crime.For this reason,this study believes that it is necessary to rebuild the order of the countryside,speed up the construction of new countryside,strengthen publicity,and do a good job of corresponding safeguards so as to curb the “ drugs going to the countryside”.
