The Influencing Factors Of Drug Addicts’ Relapse And The Intervention Of Social Work

Objective: The aim of this study is to explore the influencing factors of drug addicts’ relapse,and provide theoretical basis for the anti-drug social work practice.Methods: This study adopted sequential explanation design of mixed research method.In the quantitative study,COX proportional hazard regression analysis based on factor analysis was used to explore the factors affecting drug addicts’ first relapse.Qualitative research adopted case study method to explore the application of quantitative research conclusion in practice so as to exemplify quantitative conclusion.Process: Based on the 16-Items Relapse Factors of Drug Addiction(RFDA-16)developed by the National Institute on Drug Dependence,Peking University,and the conclusions of related researches and current condition,We summarized 8 indexes,including the family relationship,shame,physiological factors,self-awareness,influence of others,economic income,pressure and connection,and operated these eight indexes into 14 variables,and brought the 14 variables into the Questionnaire on influencing factors of drug abuse.We used the questionnaire to investigate the drug users which recorded by the Guangzhou drug addicts social control system,and after obtaining sufficient data,we used SPSS statistical analysis software for data collation and survival analysis,and finally build the COX proportional hazards regression model.Conclusion: The Physiological Factors,Self-knowledge,Sense of Pressure and the Lack of Attachment are the risk factors of drug addicts’ relapse,the intervention of anti-drug social worker is the protective factor,which could reduce the risk of relapse.In the current work,in order to prolong the credit maintenance time of drug addicts,prevent their relapse and help them return to society,anti-drug social workers should file a case on the basis of relapse risk assessment,and focus on helping the parties find the meaning of life,helping them to properly "pressurize",enrich their life,helping them to relieve the discomfort caused by protracted reaction or other diseases,helping them improve their physical condition,and establish rational self-awareness and strong social support network.
