Education is an important factor affecting the long-term development of a country.The quality of higher education plays a decisive role in the quality of talents.Therefore,there is a direct relationship between teachers' quality and the quality of higher education.Domestic and foreign teachers pay more attention to the performance appraisal of university teachers.At present,the performance system of university teachers in our country is mainly to evaluate the performance of teachers,and to improve the quality of higher education.The performance appraisal has become an important tool for improving the performance of University Management.With the deepening of the personnel system reformation in higher education,the current performance evaluation system of university teachers has not fully adapted to the development of modern education.Therefore,under the premise of the existing performance appraisal system in Colleges and universities,it is important to optimize the performance appraisal of university teachers.X University has become a comprehensive university,which is established both by the state and the government of S province.It has entered a new stage of development.It has brought a rare opportunity for the development of X University.At the same time,it also puts forward a severe challenge.This paper starts with the analysis of the present situation of teachers' performance appraisal in X University,and analyses it by documentation method,investigation and cross research methods.Based on the concept,the content,the methods and the principles of performance evaluation,this paper analyzes the research results in the field of performance appraisal of the domestic and foreign scholars.After investigation and research,the paper analyzes the present situation of the performance appraisal of X University,discusses the shortcomings of the X University's performance appraisal,and explores the main causes of these problems to provide the basis for the proposed countermeasures.Based on experiences home and abroad,the paper puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions on the performance evaluation of X University from the aspects of the assessment system,the diversified evaluation system,the strengthening process management,the application of the assessment results.
