| In 1977,our country resumed the college entrance examination,and in 1984,English became the subject of college entrance examination,since then,the reform of the college entrance examination in English had been carried on,and it had gradually become the focus of attention.In 2013,all parts of the country intended to reform the college entrance examination,English became the first course of the reform,which got people’s universal concern,and all kinds of views,opinions and discussions followed by.So the research on the reform of English college entrance examination is particularly important.In September 2014,the Ministry of Education published "the State Council on Deepening the Reform of Examination Enrollment System Implementation Opinions".It will have social examinations.Many provinces have proposed to test English twice a year.The reform of English college entrance examination will undoubtedly lead the reform of middle school English teaching;it will bring opportunities and challenges to English teaching.Here are few currant studies that focus on this aspect.This paper is based on these studies,and it uses literature analysis method,questionnaire and interview method to analyze the opportunities and challenges brought about by the reform of English college entrance examination to English teaching to understand problems we may have and attempt to put forward suggestions and some coping strategies to guide English teaching.This paper consists of five parts: the first part is the exordium;it explains the importance and temporal spirit of this research from aspects of the presentation of questions,purpose and significance of the topic,research methods and research trends;the second part reviews the historical process of the college entrance examination system in English subject from a historical view,and it mainly analyzes the contents of the new round reform of English college entrance examination: tests will be held several times a year and it will have social examinations.Affirm the superiority of the reform,and anglicize the problems and deficiencies of the reform;the third part analyzes the opportunities brought about by the reform from the aspects of students,teachers,and teaching activities;and then in the fourth part,it analyzes the challenges to English teaching brought about by the English college entrance examination reform;the fifth part is the proposals and prospects.This part puts forward with specific suggestions and countermeasures on English teaching from the aspects on English teaching and administration.The new round reform of English college entrance examination system is still in the exploratory stage,studying on the effect of the reform and other aspects is needed to improve gradually in the practice.This paper tries to put forward suggestions and countermeasures to guide English teaching and at the same time to provide a reference for future research. |
