| Paradox and educational paradox are one of the important subjects in modern educational theory and practice.On the basis of inheriting the existing research results of paradox and educational paradox,this paper probes into the problems in educational theory and educational practice,and puts forward some new viewpoints.Paradox,in the course of human thinking and scientific development,is an old but special topic.It is the crystallization of human wisdom and the black hole of human thinking,even the source of energy that inspires people to constantly think and forge ahead.From the “Question of God” in ancient Greece to the “Wormhole theory” now;From the “White horse is not horse” in Qin Dynasty to “Paradox contend” now.Paradoxes make scholars at all times and all over the world undistracted and intoxicated.Throughout the ages,the definition of paradox depends on everyone’s understanding.Especially in modern times,paradox gradually began to radiate into various fields,experts and scholars in various fields also made various explanations for the paradox.The author tries to define paradox: Paradox which essence is contradiction;It is the contradiction in the field of thinking;It is a contradiction between two correct arguments that differ greatly from each other.In addition,several concepts related to paradox are analyzed,and the relationship between paradox and its similar concepts is clarified.Paradox exists in many things including education.The paradox of education is the contradiction between two correct arguments in the field of education.The Paradox of Education has quite abundant contents,no matter in educational theory or educational practice,it has a variety of forms of presentation.For example,Herbart’s “Old three centers” and Dewey’s “New three centers” in educational ideas;Individual standard theory and social standard theory in educational goal;Class-based teaching system and individualized teaching in teaching form;Lecture method and individualized learning in teaching method and so on.The paradox of education is the education system and other social subsystems,internal elements and elements of education,educational elements and educational structure,and the relationship between the elements of education and the educational system,including the interrelation,restriction,function and exclusion.There are internal and external reasons for the formation of educational paradox.The external reasons are caused by the difference of social background,times background and cultural tradition.Internal causes can be traced back to the essential level of human cognition.That means dualopposition of epistemology in human thinking,the opposites of monism to pluralism in the theory of value,and the antagonism between monism and pluralism in methodology.The ultimate purpose of studying educational paradox is to solve a series of problems brought about by it.Therefore,in the last chapter of this paper,the possibility of dialectical solution to the educational paradox is discussed.The author thinks that dialectical logic philosophy is the thinking methodology to solve the paradox.Guided by methodology,combining the the internal causes of educational paradox,the dialectical solution to the educational paradox is obtained.At the level of thinking,the influence of dualism on human thought is great and profound.But its inflexibility,machinery and other malpractices also restrict the development of human thinking to a certain extent.Therefore,it is urgent to change the mode of thinking,and it is urgent to cultivate and construct the spirit of rational thinking.At the value level,the values reflect the development needs of the real society.So,we should stick to the combination of theory and practice,and insist on the concrete analysis of concrete problems.At the methodological level,none is perfect.Guided by the principle of dialectical unity,dialectical approach to all kinds of Methodology.Learning from each other according to the characteristics of different methods,“combination method” will greatly promote the scientization of educational methodology.Paradox and educational paradox is a very complicated subject,it still needs to be studied more deeply and systematically. |
