Deaf education in China began in 1887,has had a history of 130 years.Since the 19 th century till the 21 st century,the Chinese deaf education has experienced several tremendous revolutions.For art education alone,has undergone major changes,creating from nothing,from less important subjects enriching the campus life to professional subjects in the college entrance examination,to now many art related professional courses running.Arts education in special education school has become an important and indispensable courses in deaf education.After a long continuous accumulation of summary and innovation through all previous changes,special education workers gradually found out the more suitable mode of education to the present deaf,related professional terms also has been formally proposed,such as functional compensation.In art teaching in special education,modelling related teaching has always been a top priority.Deaf students due to the lack of hearing,its performance in learning and so on there is particularity.Shape,has the advantage of aspect,also has disadvantages.In this paper,through a large number of case studies in the modelling of deaf students shows,summarized the advantages and disadvantages,and sums up the modelling of deaf school characteristics,to further explore the effective strategy of deaf students modelling teaching.There are more than 20 million deaf people in our country,hearing impairment is the largest number of disabilities in special education.The research of the visual functional compensation impacting on the modeling of deaf middle school students,not only provide direct theory and practical basis for deaf students modeling learning and for teacher modeling teaching,but also offer a reference for deaf students to take advantage of visual functional compensation.
