Social Work Practice Of Low Marginal Households

As our economy grows rapidly,the government invests more in people' s livelihoods.Social systems and rules have increasingly completed and improved.We have seen a wider coverage of minimum subsistence guarantee system targeting on pverty-stricken population,meeting the needs of social equity.However,there still exists such a special group who lead a difficult life and are excluded from the red line of minimum subsistence for some irresisitible factors.They are collectively known as low marginal households.With a joint implementation of government preferential.policies and minimum social security policy,low marginal households fail to enjoy these relief policies.Also as poor groups,they don't have access to these preferential policies due to small gaps in income,which is unfair to them.In response to this situation and using three typical low marginal households in a community of J city as a case,this article tries to take social action research as its backbone,assisted by other methods,such as literature research,depth interview and observation.Welfare services would be provided to low marginal households,who are the focus of services.Directing at low marginal households and guided by the philosophy of helping people to help themselves,social workers seek to cultivate spirits of helping oneself,helping each other and self-determination.They work to mobilize community resources,coordinate external forces and help poverty-stricken low marginal households for different causes on case by case basis.They will use social work model of family and individua case,aiming to help low marginal househods take the initiative and equip themselves with the skills to eliminate poverty.In some degrees,by solving the problem of their financial poverty,they work to improve the living conditions of low marginal households.The textual innovation point lies in:The ways of social assistance to low marginal households are diversified.Low marginal households used to be aided by relativ policies formulated by government.This thesis aims to develop new ways of assistance and further explore the role social workers play in low marginal households assistance.Using job-related skills of social work,social workers help clients establish their own social network to seek support.Moreover,they adopt empowerment theory to give more incentives to clients for their sef-excitation.In the course of assistance,low marginal households will realize self-empowerment and have the ability to improve living standards economically,thus facing life with a healthy mind like ordinary people.
