Judging from the overall situation about the use of Chinese textbooks for high schools in South Korea,the development and compilation of local Chinese textbooks are thriving in South Korea,and the local textbooks have been widely used in high schools of South Korea.However,Chinese textbooks from China have run into an awkward situation of low usage rates in high schools of South Korea.This situation should win our great attention and research on Chinese textbooks for high schools in South Korea.This thesis analyzes the content arrangement(including the overall design,pronunciation,vocabulary,grammar,Chinese characters,culture,and text)of “Chinese Language I” and “Duo Le Yuan Chinese Language Master” as Chinese textbooks in high schools of South Korea,and compares the 2local textbooks with contents of “Learn Chinese with Me”(Korean Edition),to point out points which can provide references and make further improvement in the 2 textbooks and give suggestions for providing reference to China to compile elementary Chinese textbooks for high schools of South Korea.This thesis falls into 3 chapters.The first chapter is the introduction part,which mainly introduces the research background,research significance,existing research,research object and research methodology.In the second chapter,the status quo of Chinese textbooks in high schools of South Korea is analyzed.“Chinese Language I” and “Learning Chinese with Me” are compared from 7 aspects: the overall design,pronunciation,vocabulary,grammar,Chinese characters,culture,and text,to discuss similarities and differences,as well as strengths and weaknesses of the 2 textbooks.In the third chapter,suggestions for the compilation of elementary Chinese textbooks for high schools of South Korea are put forward,to explore the direction and path for the compilation of local textbooks with national characteristics.Meanwhile,specific suggestions for compiling the textbook contents are given respectively from perspectives of pronunciation,vocabulary,grammar,Chinese characters,culture and text.From the perspective of pronunciation,focus should be placed on the comparison between the pronunciation of the mother tongue and the target language,and key and difficult points of pronunciation should be highlighted in textbooks.Moreover,it is essential to combine systematic learning with decentralized exercises and make the pronunciation teaching and exercise exist in the whole elementary stage.Lastly,the principle of combining phonetic teaching and speech flow teaching should be followed.From the perspective of vocabulary,the real situation should be based to add anappropriate number of words to the textbooks.Moreover,in the textbook compilation,we should not only take the “ Syllabus of Graded Words and Characters for Chinese Proficiency ” as a basis,but also fully understand the cultural background of the target-language country to make appropriate localization.From the perspective of grammar,work should be done to control the teaching amount and difficulty of grammar items.Moreover,it is also necessary to introduce the communicative situation and strengthen communicative functions of the textbooks.Lastly,in the textbook compilation,we should explicitly point out similarities and differences of Korean and Chinese grammars,take advantage of their similarities to promote positive transfer and clarify their differences to prevent negative transfer.From the perspective of Chinese characters,the character pattern recognition and writing skills should be closely associated.In addition,it is quite necessary to set contents about comparisons between simplified characters and traditional characters.From the perspective of culture,in t he textbook compilation,we should consider the text content of each class,improve the correlation of culture with the text content,pay equal attention to both traditional culture and modern life,and attach equal importance to the theoretical and practical property of the textbooks.Meanwhile,students should be centered to arrange a special section of cultural contents and design cultural activities concerning the culture.From the perspective of the text,it is essential to ensure that basic parameters of the textbooks grow steadily.Moreover,the old and new knowledge should be integrated to achieve a consistency in text contents.Lastly,text contents should make students feel involved,to improve the practicality of the texts/...
