With the rapid development of society and the pressure of competition, many new social problems have emerged. One of them is the social problems of individuals.Based on past research,it has been concluded that social barriers have become one of the three major mental health problems in society. It is a very negative influence on individuals, families and even entire society.According to research done by scholars at home and abroad, the occurrence of social fear among school age children is higher than that at any age.Primary school is an important period of individual growth and socialization. It is the stage when an individual walks out of a family and enters a school and begins to contact an official peer group. In this stage, they continuously conduct indirect or direct social interaction activities. In this process, teachers and peer groups are very much in need of acceptance and respect.Huang Beini(2015)believes that due to family and school reasons, most rural primary school students are in a state of alienation from their teachers and peer groups. They do not possess ideal peer groups and benign social interaction circles. This not only seriously affects them. The academic and physical and mental health of the students has hindered the progress of their self-improvement and is not conducive to the smooth progress of their socialization. And the traditional methods of the past can no longer be used to solve children’s social difficulties. With the development of social work in recent years, problems in the field of children have been incorporated into the social work sector, and the social work profession has certain professional advantages in solving this problem. The main purpose of this study is to understand the current social situation of rural primary school students in Gansu Province,to explore the social problems presented by rural primary school students and various causes of these problems, and to help solve the problems of rural schoolchildren’s social interaction through the development of appropriate solutions. They change uncomfortable social behaviors so that they learn necessary social skills and enhance social interaction. The process of the study was based on the findings of the field surveys, the reasons for the need assessments, the intervention points, the intervention of social work, the assessment ofintervention effects, the conclusions, and the inadequacies of the research. The methods used during this period were interviews and observations.,peer nomination method and questionnaire survey. The conclusion of this study is that the involvement of social work has greatly enhanced their correct understanding of their own and social communication capabilities, improved their external social conditions and enhanced their campus life happiness. Finally,I hope that the theoretical results of this study will provide the government and related departments with a certain theoretical basis for the formulation of children’s policies. At the same time, due to the limited time and energy, the researcher’s large social and cultural environment has not been able to do more in-depth research. He hopes that researchers in this field can further explore their macro environment.
