With the development of society,the problems encountered by mankind are becoming more and more complicated.The solution of many problems is that the single subject cannot be satisfied,and the comprehensive connection of multiple subjects is needed.In this context,the subject integration and cross-disciplinary penetration of curriculum reforms are becoming increasingly significant.Geography is an interdisciplinary subject with both natural and humanities content,which is very comprehensive.This nature makes high school geography closely related to many subjects,and it can use the knowledge of relevant disciplines to explain geographical principles,laws,phenomena,and so on.Teaching materials are an important part of the curriculum.In the geography textbooks of high school,the textbooks of China and the United States highlight the reform trend of international education subject synthesis.In this article,through the comparative analysis between the two countries is the most widely applied geography teaching material,the discoverer of the teaching material and the Chinese people's education press the "ordinary high school curriculum standard experiment textbook geography compulsory 1" in the aspect of interdisciplinary penetration,find their advantages,complement each other.This article compares the high school geography textbooks of the two countries through content analysis and comparative study.Firstly,cross-disciplines were selected on the basis of "Discipline Code and Classification" and "Full-time Ordinary Senior High School Curriculum Plan." Cross-disciplines were divided into mathematics,physics,chemistry,biology,history,science and technology,and fine arts.Secondly,the contents of the two sets of textbooks are coded,and statistical data and subjects intersect.Third,analyze the three dimensions of the cross-disciplinary sources,presentation methods,and presentation positions.Fourth,compare the teaching materials of the two countries from three dimensions.Fifth,based on the results of the comparison,we made specific suggestions for the preparation of our teaching materials.Finally,the main research conclusions are summarized,and the deficiencies and prospects are put forward.The main conclusions of this paper are:(1)In terms of the number of sources of interdisciplinary infiltration,the textbook of discoverer is much higher than that of human textbooks.From the perspective of subject source,both sets of textbooks have the most overlap with the physics discipline.The interdisciplinary chemistry of the textbook is the second one.From the perspective of the interdisciplinary types,the source of the discovery is more than the textbook.(2)In the way of the cross-infiltration of subjects,the cross-proportion of the teaching materials of the People's Education Press in terms of the way of presentation of texts and the presentation of images and texts is quite similar,and the gap is not large.The finder's teaching materials are mainly written in the form of texts,followed by pictures and texts.From the perspective of the classification of text presentations,the teaching materials of the People's Education Press are mainly in the form of “paragraphs”,and the textbooks of discoverers are mainly in the form of “sentences”;From the perspective of classification of pictures and texts,the teaching materials of PEP are mainly presented in the form of sketch-text.The texts of the discoverers are presented in landscape-character style.From the content of cross-disciplines,the geographic concepts in the two sets of textbooks are mainly written.The method is presented,and geographical laws,geographical phenomena and geographical processes are mainly presented in a graphical and cooperative manner.(3)In the presentation of the cross-infiltration of subjects,the teaching materials of the People's Education Press are mainly text-based,followed by columns.The finder's teaching materials are mainly text-based,followed by exercises.From the cross-section of the disciplines,the founders' textbooks are more informative.They include “learning goals”,“key terms”,“review guidelines”,and “skills manuals”.Based on the results obtained from the research,suggestions were made for the preparation of the textbooks for natural geography in China: to increase the content of cross-subjects,set review guidelines,and to enrich the types of images.In order to further improve the compilation of cross-infiltrated content in China's senior secondary school geography textbooks,it will help.
