The mathematics curriculum standard is an important measure of value for a country's mathematics teaching.By studying the mathematics curriculum standards in other countries and comparing it with our national curriculum standards,we can learn the advanced part of mathematics curriculum standards in other countries.Based on the analysis of comparative studies on mathematics curriculum standards in the past decade,we find that many literatures tend to study the mathematics curriculum standards in senior high schools, and there are few comparative studies on mathematics curriculum standards in the middle school and junior high school sections in China and the United States. The scope of the study is relatively broad, and the focus of the study is relatively single.Based on previous research, this article selected China's “The mathematics curriculum standard of compulsory education(2011 Edition)”(in junior high school)and the United States “Common Core State Standard in Mathematics”(in junior high school)as the research object, mainly using the literature research method and the comparative study method, comparing the two countries' mathematics curriculum standards in the background of promulgation, the contents of the framework, the educational philosophy, the breadth and depth of the curriculum, and the distribution of the content of the curriculum to get the advantages and disadvantages of the mathematics curriculum standards of the two countries, which can provide advice for the revision and reform of the mathematics curriculum standards for the middle school in China. The study tells that Chinese mathematics curriculum standard has more knowlegde in the middle school than in the United States.China focuses on "graphics and geometry" in the middle school section, while the United States focuses on "numbers and algebras".On the cognitive level, both countries tend to "understand" levels.Four lessons for China's curriculum reform have been obtained:(1)Combining the use of technology with the development of students;(2)Considering content standards by grade level;(3)Linking course objectives with students' progress in education and employment;(4)The content of the course should be highlighted. The curriculum reform must consider three elements: social needs, development of mathematics, and the law of physical and mental development of students.
