Research On The Social Work Intervening In The New Media Use Capacity Promoting Of Women In X Village,Gansu Province

The 21 st century is an era of rapid development of information.Our daily life and various activities have directly or indirectly exposed new media technologies.New media represented by smart phones have become the most frequently used communication tools in current life and social media.With the reduction of the cost of media technology and the improvement of the rural economy,smartphones continue to infiltrate into the lives of farmers and many aspects of rural development.The current proportion of rural residents using mobile phones has increased year by year.However,according to previous surveys concerning the use of mobile phones by rural residents,rural residents have poor mobile phone use capabilities,especially for women.They are based on the use of mobile phones as the most basic phone-call answering function.There is not too much use of other functions.The contact is less capable of mastering its diverse operations.This study used interviews and observations to investigate the status of X-village women's smartphone use and their problems.The study found that X village women have certain problems in the basic operation of smart phones,social software applications,and prevention of mobile phone fraud.Under the guidance of social learning theory and empowerment theory,they conducted mobile phone use training through targeted group activities for six times in order to improve the ability of rural women to use smart phones,increase womens enjoyment of life,and expand the scope of communication.To enable them to integrate into modern information society.The evaluation of the effectiveness of the group's activities in this study was mainly conducted using panelists' evaluations and interviews.The evaluation results showed that the team members liked 87.5% of the group's activities,the team members' satisfaction with social workers was100%,and the practical evaluation of the group activities was 81.25%.Through the intervention of group work methods,X village women's smart phone use capabilities have significantly improved.The involvement of social work is effective in enhancing rural women's ability to use new media.
